Uniform
Scout Shirt, Pants (come with belt). Polyester Microfiber material is recommended for its wicking quality, and pants that can be converted to shorts are recommended.
Shirt patches – Troop provides GGAC coucil patch, Troop 125 Patch and green shoulder loop. All other patches theScout Shop recommends (they are standard on all Scout uniforms) to be purchased.
Please do not buy neckerchief or slide. The Troop will provide these.
Scout book (unlike Cub Scouts, there is a single book for all ranks in Boy Scouts) - spiral bound book is NOT recommended since the Scout will be using it for many years, and it does start giving way. The special cover sold at the Scout Shop is recommended.

Some FAQs:
Why should I pre-pay and have a balance with the Troop?
This allows you not to worry about each small expense while keeping very accurate trail of your expenses. It also helps the Treasurer by reducing the number of checks to process for every outing and other events.
How do I add funds to my Scout's account in Scoutbook?
You can add funds by writing a check payable to "BSA Troop 125" with the scout's name in the memo section of the check. Checks can be handed over to the Treasurer at the troop meeting.
How do I find my pre-paid balance?
Parent can Login to ScoutBook and check Payment Log for Scout
Can I pay cash?
No, the Troop cannot accept cash.
Can I pay by credit card?
No. Troop cannot accept credit card.
Will I get my money back if I leave the troop?
Yes. There are two ways:
Troop can write you a check
If you agree, Troop can donate to "Friends of Scouting" on your behalf (Council may or may not issue Tax deductible Receipt. Please contact Council about it)
If you agree, Troop can donate to "Troop 125" on your behalf (Troop DOES NOT provide any Tax deductible Receipts)
Currently the Troop offers Troop Class B T-Shirts and hat.
Use Pre-Paid Balance. Parent should check ScoutBook Payment Log for available funds
